Mica's site-specific performance practices involve the intense focus on space as a source to evoke imageries, actions, andmental states, often using minimalistic gestures and materials to compose a situation where she explores the viewer's role as an active participator. She is interested in the dream, Unconscious/subconscious, the notion of 'nothingness', 'real' versus 'unreal', alongside her constant research on different spaces such as public space, institutional space, nature, and how human actions and perceptions relate accordingly.

Mica was born in 1994 in Xiamen, China. She graduated cum laude from the Fine arts department in GRA in 2021, with her graduation works selected as part of the Rietveld Review(ed). After graduation, she continues working as a performance and video artist in Amsterdam and various cities in the Netherlands.
